More on Chicago
Work, and work and work means blogging hit the second tier but to catch up - isn't Chicago just a great town? - we stayed smack bang in the middle of the theatre district on the river State and Lake St's in the heritage listed Marina Towers - two huge scalloped buildings that rise above the river with views across the Lake and half of Illinois. We raced around, squeezed in a visit to the Art Institiute and the newly restored Chagall window and posed with the hundreds of other tourists beside the instantly recognisable Anish Kapoor sculpture that Chicagoans call the Bean - initally furious that his sculpture was being reduced to this name, Kapoor relented when he realised how loved it was and how widely appreciated - just goes to show artists - you ut it out there and you have no say in how people relate to your art - always a good lesson. We are in SF now - updates soon. And thanks to the people hitting LIKE and sharing with friends - keep it up! Lx
