Chicago
OK Here in our default office Borders in Downtown Chicago getting ready for our Pitch tonight being hosted by Gabe and JD's friends Billy and Craig in the gay north - thanks all round you guys in both continents.
Post-carded Women and Children First Bookshop yesterday- you women rock! and a few bars and cafes in Andersonville. Saw the most wonderful puppeteer on our way - had us in stitches which we needed as we were a little tired and cold by then.
While freezing our proverbials off we remain awestruck by the beautiful buildings here in the 'Go - thanks to our wonderful host Mademoiselle Gigi for putting us up in such a great location bang on the river in the midst of theatre land - let us know if you ever want to stay in Chicago - it's a great spot and very reasonable rates.
Hey anybody out there? Great to see you like this page those who LIKE. Give us a shout we like to hear from you. Don't forget to visit our website - www.girlsown.com - it's up and live so please go there and let us know if anything does not work properly looks funny as it has only just gone live, superhero Adam, Adam, Adam. :)))
OK off for a quick tourist fix - all work and no play makes Jill a dull etc ...- oh well you get the picture...Producer frowns and reconsiders allowance for playtime...Director too slow in her creative thoughts as per usual. Hmmmm. MaƱana my dears.

LA
We climbed into a very full Air New Zealand plane and found the service so much like the bygone days of Qantas when it used to have something like a sense of humour and a smile.
Their in-flight safety video was hilarious and people were unfailing helpful and sweet despite being packed to the gills.
Much of the trip your director fell into a coma - the best 6 hours of sleep she's had in the last 4 weeks while an unsleeping and maybe slightly bitter producer powered away on her laptop on the 101 things left to do.
We fell out - no dears just out of our very full plane in LA and discovered LA Freeways the easy way thanks to the Road Runner Shuttle. Still not too sure what most of our driver had said to us we dumped the bags full of pitch packs and postcards and ran out to explore the local area.
Los Feliz is gorgeous! Hilly and full of mature trees and shrubs and lots of different and interesting houses. We found a Rainbow flagged Community centre down the road almost immediately and met some very nice boys who assured us this was a Gay Friendly neighbourhood.
So now after settling in with our wonderful hosts Lucia and Rob and distracting ourselves in the most delightful way with little Olivia we set out to West Hollywood to have drinks at the OBar with the amazing Gary who proceeded to brainstorm on his contact list for who we should approach. Great conversation and lots of leads and we head back to the hills and sleep ready for our day of meetings with potential distributors etc. More to follow…

Chicago here we come!
The Trouble with e
All systems are almost go: We have the script; we have most of the gorgeous cast; we have some money (but could always do with more!); we have the pitch pack; we've sorted the post card/ promo and we're hoping we'll win the The Great Gay Screenplay Comp in Chicago (who can resist e!!!). And even if we don't win it's a great chance to go to the US and start to tell everyone about the great feature film we're making. THE TROUBLE WITH e - SHE'S HAPPENING AND SOON!
Follow us as we hit the streets of LA, pitch on the pavements and stages in chicago and kick back in San Fran all in 12 days!
